Farmer's new cd "Black Crow" is now available. It features 12 new songs written by Dan, as well as tunes co-written with Dolly Rager, Molly McCabe, and Kent Peterson. For some general info... Dan grew up in the mountains of South Carolina and the foothills of Alabama. Currently, Farmer appears regularly with the popular band Crooked Road, and has performed with Nashville songwriters Dottie Rager, Molly Slone McCabe, and Georgia Thomas at the famed Bluebird Café and Douglas Corner Cafe. Farmer continues doing acoustic shows with friends and co-writers at venues and events around Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky and North Carolina.

Dan also performs with long time friend and co-writer Janet Hall O’Neil. They have played shows for Birmingham’s Red Mountain Theatre Company’s Concert Series, as well as, Birmingham’s City Stages Festival. Marc Navez and Kent Peterson, two of Alabama's finest musicians, often join Dan for many acoustic performances. Both also perform with Tommy Young, Kenny Hanks, and Buddy Hassler in Crooked Road. Crooked Road has released two CDs with title cuts penned by Dan; "Crooked Road" and "Lake Forgetful". For years Farmer, and Crooked Road, have entertained a large following in venues around Alabama. The band has also been featured at music festivals such as Birmingham's City Stages, Mobile's Bayfest, Riverfest in Gadsden, Big Spring Jam in Huntsville, the Briarfield Music Festival, and Helena’s Buck Creek Festival.
