"Mind Reader"

Lead singer and co-leader Bo Galigher thanks everyone on the album's liner notes except Riley "B.B." King. The CD's first three cuts sound so familiar to the Godfather of the Blues' music that I had to look and see if they were covers. He even dedicates the album "to every Alabama blues musician, however well known or little known, who ever suffered for his art."
With the help of an all-star contingent of Vent Records studio musicians and backing singers, Galigher and Danny Angel have constructed an album of 12 original songs, which run the musical gamut.
Highlights include "Everywhere There's a Trace," "Loves Hell," and "Someone Who Will." No new ground is broken on this release. So, overall, this is not a bad disc for those who like their blues with the emphasis on the vocals, horns and studio production and less on the guitar.
