Daryl Johnson (tuba) joined the Louisville Orchestra as principal tuba in 2001. Born in Scottsboro, AL, Mr. Johnson holds a Professional Studies Certificate from the Juilliard School, where he studied with Warren Deck of the New York Philharmonic, and a Masters of Music Degree from DePaul University in Chicago with Floyd Cooley of the San Francisco Symphony. While in school Mr. Johnson had the opportunity to perform with the New York Philharmonic, the San Francisco Symphony, and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra.
