The Thrasher Brothers, Jim, Buddy and Joe, are from Heflin, AL and are best known for their career as gospel singers, yet their career has spanned the areas of Country and Opera as well.

Beginning in the 50s, The Thrasher Brothers performed for the first time at the Grand Ole Opry on the Friday Night Wally Fowler Gospel Sing. They continued to perform in Nashville and sang all across Alabama in local churches and school auditoriums.

They appeared on the Ted Mack Show in New York City and won the National Talent Show and then traveled for two years as regular members with the Ted Mack Show.

In 1970, they produced and performed their own television show, titled “America Sings”. This show was syndicated in over 100 markets across America and ran until 1976 with an estimated audience of over 8 million people weekly. Their recording of "One Day At A Time" has become a standard in Gospel music and earned them a million selling “Gold” record in 1975.

In 1980 the brothers moved into the area of Country Music and were featured on major concert stages throughout the country. They released several albums on MCA Records and recorded the theme for the popular CBS television program "Simon and Simon" titled "Best of Friends". Their hit country recording, “Still The One” has become a standard in the country and pop music fields

The Thrasher Brothers travels for 38 years have taken them all over the USA as well as Europe and the Middle East. They toured with the country group Alabama, Mickey Gilley, Hank Williams, Jr., Willie Nelson, Barbara Mandrell, Loretta Lynn and many others. Their live performances placed them in front of millions of people. They have appeared on many national television shows such as: Hee Haw, Merv Griffin Show, Nashville Network, Music City Live, Ralph Emery Show, Mel Tillis Show, Dinah Shore Show, Live From Las Vegas, and many guest appearances on different Gospel Music programs. They also studied vocals at the Birmingham Conservatory of Music, which led to a stint with the Birmingham Civic Opera.

The Thrasher Brothers have won the Dove Award from the Gospel Music Association and have received four Grammy Awards from the National Arts and Recording Science Academy and many more awards for their contributions to the music and entertainment industry.
