National talent competitions have been growing in popularity in the last few years, but we believe that there is plenty of talent right here in our own back yard. Think of all the great musical talent that has already come from the State of Alabama. Who will be the next star that will be discovered from Alabama?
Welcome to Alabama’s state-wide premier search for individual vocal talent. We are looking for Alabama’s best vocalists. Enter the contest and you could possibly win cash prizes, a recording contract, and get your own agent. Here’s how the contest works:
- Go to the registration page and enter the contest before September 30, 2011.
- There are five rounds of the contest, each eliminating some contestants and advancing other contestants. The five rounds are; preliminaries, regional semi-finals, regional finals, state semi-finals, and state finals.
- There are six music categories (genres) and five age group categories. The genres are Classic Hits (60s, 70s, and 80s), Contemporary Christian, Country, Jazz, R & B (Rhythm and Blues), and Top 40 Hits (1990s to Present). The age categories are elementary (grades 1-5), middle school (grades 6-8), high school (grades 9-12), young adult (ages 19-24), and adult (ages 25 and up). Each age category will have a winner from each genre producing 30 overall winners.
- Each of the overall winners will receive cash prizes, a recording contract, and a contract with an agent.
For about the price of a one hour private lesson with a professional voice coach, contestants will be heard by multiple music industry professionals and receive constructive feedback. Many contestants will go on to take the stage and perform in front of live audiences. A few will win the hearts of music fans in Alabama and become rising stars in the music industry. So what are you waiting for? Are you ready to show the state what you’ve got and be on your way to becoming Alabama’s next singing sensation?

She successfully brought Family Leadership Training Institute to the State of Colorado and it has expanded to other states since that time. Knoel brings a quality assurance to everything she touches and keeps integrity as her top goal in all her business dealings. She served on multiple boards when she lived in Colorado including serving four years in a Governor appointed board position with the Colorado Interagency Coordinating Council.
Having recently moved from Denver, Colorado back to the state of Alabama (Barry is from Birmingham and Knoel is from Mobile) to be closer to family, they want to show their “Alabama Pride” by helping to discover, develop, and promote musical talent from within their home state for the benefit of Alabama and beyond.
